Brandon Esposito
Born and raised in Alberta, Brandon has had a fishing rod in his hands for as long as he can remember. Growing up in a family of outdoor enthusiasts, every moment spent outside—whether on the water or in the wild—was a gift never taken for granted.
For much of his life, however, fishing had to share space with another dream: hockey. Brandon played high-level hockey across Western Canada for years, chasing the NHL dream through Junior A stints with the Quesnel Millionaires, Calgary Royals, Dauphin Kings, and North Battleford Stars, before finishing his career in his hometown with the Airdrie Thunder.
When the hockey chapter closed, it opened the door to something that had always been there—fly fishing.
With nearly 20 years of fishing experience and the last 10 devoted specifically to fly fishing, Brandon knew he wanted more than just weekend trips and occasional casts. The deeper he dove in, the more the passion grew—from tying flies, to building custom rods, to launching his own company, Classic Custom Rods, where craftsmanship meets obsession.
Brandon’s pursuit of excellence didn’t stop there. He also became a firefighter for the Town of Okotoks—a role that reflects his heart for service and gives him the flexibility to guide throughout the fishing season. On and off the river, he’s committed to helping people, showing up with grit, heart, and intention.
Always a student of the game, Brandon is continually learning, growing, and refining his craft as a guide. His outgoing nature and relentless energy mean he doesn’t just guide trips—he creates unforgettable days. Whether you’re new to fly fishing or deep into the sport, Brandon will make sure every moment on the water is one worth remembering.
