Hayze Stevens
Hayze Stevens was born and raised in Strathmore, Alberta, where his connection to the land and the outdoors began early. A proud graduate of Holy Cross Collegiate, Hayze left Alberta to pursue post-secondary education, completing two years in Texas and one in New Mexico. His journey south was made possible through a full-ride rodeo scholarship—earned through years of dedication to the sport and a legacy of rodeo excellence in his family.
Coming from a long line of rodeo competitors, Hayze has travelled across North America as a cowboy, building not only athletic skill, but discipline, resilience, and a deep appreciation for the Western lifestyle. After returning to Canada, he earned certification in heavy equipment operation and works in northern Alberta, but his heart has always remained in the outdoors.
A lifelong sportsman, Hayze is an avid fisherman, hunter, and outdoorsman. His Blackfoot roots run deep, and today he’s proud to call Siksika Nation home—where his home sits just above the banks of the Bow River. Each morning, he looks out over the water with gratitude, now guiding others along the river he’s always cherished.
Hayze brings not only technical skill and safety awareness to his guiding but also a deep cultural connection to the land, a quiet confidence shaped by rodeo, and a genuine passion for sharing the river’s beauty with others.
