Jordan Jones
Jordan Saldana-Jones is an avid fly fisherman and outdoors enthusiast who’s never strayed far from the wild heart of Alberta. Born in Calgary in the early ’90s, Jordan was introduced to fishing by his grandfather, who passed down more than just a skill—he passed down a legacy. As a kid, Jordan would sit in the canoe, spinning rod in hand, trying to mimic his Grandpa’s graceful fly casts. The results were often tangled messes, but the spark had been lit.
After high school, Jordan pursued a career in the trades, becoming a licensed welder and an apprentice heavy-duty mechanic. He and his girlfriend now call Okotoks home, along with their loyal adventure companion, Riley—a spirited two-year-old German shepherd husky who’s always ready for a trip to the river.
For Jordan, the mountains and streams of southern Alberta aren’t just places to fish—they’re places to recharge. Over the past decade, catching fish with friends began to feel like just the beginning of something deeper. He wanted more. More connection, more purpose, more time on the water.
That desire led him to Western Canada’s Fly Fishing Guide School. He took a leap, investing in himself and stepping fully into the world of professional guiding. What he found was not just a career, but a calling.
Jordan brings a youthful energy, a hunger to learn, and a genuine love for the sport to every trip. Whether you’re brand new to fly fishing or a seasoned angler, Jordan is committed to making sure your day on the water isn’t just successful—it’s unforgettable.
