Lower Bow River Float Trips- Calgary
Floating the Bow River is one of the most productive ways to fish this majestic river. The beautiful BLUE RIBBON section of the bow river flows through Calgary and south/east. The Bow River boasts the largest river born trout in the entire world. Chasing wild trout, Rainbows and Browns, where our average fish is 18-22". There is different launches within the city where we can launch our boats and float through the city, or float from the city outwards of Calgary. When floating the river we get to see much more of the river and pass a lot of prime runs, which most of them you can not access from foot. We will stop along the way and fish some of our favorite spots. We will fish many techniques varying from big meaty streamers to drifting nymphs, and when the time is right there is nothing greater than the visual aspect of casting dries to rising fish.
Full Day - $495/boat (Price only valid for trips in April and May of 2019) The following included except 5% GST and a tip for your guide. Each boat accommodates 2 anglers. An additional angler (3RD) is $200. Included on your full day float trip is everything you're going to need to get into some beautiful fish. We supply all of your gear such as waders, boots, fly rods, and flies. The Trip is usually 6-8 hours from the time we pick you up to the time we drop you off. We drive you to the river and we have our vehicle shuttled to the take-out point, so it can be waiting for us at the end of the day to drive you back to your vehicle. We supply all snacks non-alcoholic drinks and a shore side lunch for the day. The only thing we suggest you bring
is a rain coat, a hat and a good pair of sunglasses. If you have any special allergies please let us know when booking so we can prepare accordingly.
